Network Experience Centre (NEC) – Bharti Airtel new full system monitoring centre for maintenance,checking and immediate restoration of the system.
Airtel brings this system to monitor Airtel’s various services like mobile network performance, fixed line and DSL broadband, DTH, M-commerce, enterprise, international cable systems and internet peering points across India & south Asia from a single place.
Telecom Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal launched the center in Manesar (Gurgaon) yesterday.
Airtel is the first network to launch this kind of monitoring facility in India.
Network Experience Centre (NEC) Advantages
A) Airtel uses NEC to observe the end to end customer experience in real time,to analyze and deliver a seamless experience to over 200 million customers.
B) 3600 square feet of solid state LED video walls to monitor all Airtel and partner NOCs and in case of any emergency
C) Due to fireproof and earthquake proof facility and fully redundant technology layout,system can be used in any situation even in case of national emergencies and natural catastrophe.
D) NEC will monitor Airtel’s network performance across Mobile, Fixed Line and DSL Broadband, DTH, M-Commerce, Enterprise Services, International Cable Systems and internet peering points from a single location.
A) Nearly 6 million voice and over 5 million data customers remain connected concurrently during peak hour.
B) 600 switching and routing centers ar used to process 80 Billion minutes of voice and 24 Petabytes of data traffic every month.
C) This large amount of traffic comes from over 160,000 sites via 2G,3G & 4G, through 150,000 kms of optical backbone, via 75,000 kms of undersea cable system and connects customers globally, through 17 global PoPs for voice and data.
