According to COAI new report, Uninor lost their 1.11 million subscribers in last months and Bharti Airtel gained 0.49 million subscribers which made them to grab first position in Indian telecom subscribers base.
The GSM Subs increased by 0.24 million in October 2012 with 0.04% increment from previous month which makes Total number of GSM Subs as of October 2012 – 671.91 million.
Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and Aircel able to collect new subscribers in October according to report.
Bharti Airtel added 0.49 million which put them in no.1 position with total 186.41 million customers, Vodafone added 0.48 million which makes them total 153.15 million,
IDEA added 0.4 million which makes them total 115.70 million,
and Aircel managed to gain 0.18 million customers in October and they becomes 66.79 million subscriber’s network.
Uninor lost maximum number of subscribers – a total 1.11 million (2.63% negative growth) in October,taking its connection base to just 41.04 million and Videocon also lost 0.06 million (1.33% negative growth) which made their subscribers base to 4.39 million.
There is no change in BSNL, MTNL and Loop mobile subscribers base.
You can see how much changes occurred in last 6 months , first three months was winning period for Indian telecom networks – July 2012 was peak time in subscribers base – a total 680.1 million subscribers and in October just 0.04% increment from previous month- September 2012 and subscribers base remained in 671 million zone..
Maximum GSM Subs addition in the month of October in – Maharashtra- 0.33 million and maximum GSM Subs for the Circle – UP ( E ) – 57.35 million.
