MTNL today launches all new Video telephony service for all its Landline customers in Mumbai and Delhi telecom circle.
Using this innovative service Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited subscribers can use their existing Landline connection to make Voice and Video call over Broadband Service (VVoBB).
Voice & Video over Broadband named VVoBB introduced by Telecom Minister Mr.Kapil Sibal in an event in Mumbai today.
MTNL & BSNL are the only telecom operators who have launched such a service on their broadband infrastructure in India. MTLN in associations with Sai Infosystem brought this service which supports all Class 5 features like Call Forward, Call Hold and retrieve,Music on hold, and CLIP.
Video Telephony is an add-on service that can be activated over existing wireline connectivity. This add-on service is poised to catalyze socio-economic development of country through effective communication with semi-urban and rural populace by center, state and district officials, efficient monitoring of delivery of citizen centric services, and so on and so forth. It helps in interactive and effective grievance handling, and enhancing the credibility of institutions amongst target population. It also helps save travel costs and time.
MTNL brouht 3 types of Plans
A) Standard Video Telephony Plans – available on all connectivities.
B) Silver Video Telephony Plans – available for existing landline customers and for existing leased line customers of 2Mbps or more.
C) Gold Video Telephony Plans – available for existing leased line customers of 2Mbps or more.
“Through BSNL, this service is already available in whole North and West zones of the country, which comprises the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, MP, Goa, Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai), Chattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himanchal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and J&K. MTNL is providing this service in the metros of Delhi and Mumbai.”
