Aircel recently launches Mobile money in association with ICICI bank that allows all Aircel users to deposit, withdraw and transfer money to Aircel or any other mobile number just by using a mobile phone and Aircel number.
Aircel new service is 100% safe and secure and all transactions done via users own mobile number using a verification code called MPIN. Service is internet and mobile handset independent.
Service Details
A) Money Transfer: Users can send money from their Aircel ICICI Bank Mobile Money accounts to any other mobile number: Aircel or any other network. It is highly secure and both party will get confirmation SMS after transaction.
B) Recharges: Aircel customers are allowed to use account to recharge Aircel/Non AIrcl number and DTH recharge for Big TV, Sun Direct, Dish TV and Videocon D2C can also be done.
C) Payments: Users can pay Aircel postpaid and other Utility bills through a simple process.
D) Withdraw: To withdraw money, just visit nearest Aircel ICICI Bank Mobile Money outlet which is an alternative of ATM. Follow USSD process on your Aircel mobile to withdraw money.
How to access account: Aircel users need to type *345# on their mobile and follow the USSD procedure to make desired transaction successful.
How to deposit money: Visit nearest Mobile Money outlet. To find nearest authorized mobile money outlet send a msg : PINCODE to 345, for example, 123456 to 345.
How to open account in ICICI bank
- Visit your nearest Aircel ICICI Bank Mobile Money outlet.
- Submit required documents along with a minimum charge Rs 100.
- Your documents will be verified by bank and you will get full access to account within 7 working days.
What is MPIN
It is a 4 digit mobile personal identification number that required to authenticate each transaction. Users need to create MPIN at the time of account activation just after the account registration.
Note:
♦ To continue account just maintain minimum balance Rs 25 in the account and do at least one transaction in six months.
♦ No need to use GPRS or any other internet service, all transaction done via USSD process
♦ Account will remain active as long as users maintain Aircel mobile number, no matter if they change from Postpaid to prepaid (or vice versa).
♦ Users can have a maximum of Rs. 50000 in a Full KYC Wallet and Rs 5,000 in a non KYC wallet.
♦ In case you lose MPIN, just call 345 from your registered mobile number to reset your MPIN.
Aircel ICICI Mobile money service is currently available in Tamilnadu and rest of the circle will avail the service during 2013.
