BSNL published its revised price list of unlimited postpaid broadband plans. Company has increased base price up to 7% in fixed monthly charge and annual, two years and three years payment options.
After latest tariff hike in wireless internet service, It was expected, at least, there would be no price increment in wire broadband service.
Acording to Internet Service Provider Association of India(ISPAI), unlimited Internet and broadband charge may increase due to the latest proposal announced by Department of Telecommunication (DOT).
DOT new proposal demanded one-time entry fee of Rs 15 crore for a national level Unified License instead of current Rs 30 lakh which companies usually pay for the same.
BSNL new charge will be effective from March 2013 in all circles and new as well as existing customers have to pay same price for any plan under various unlimited ADSL Postpaid Broadband Plans.
