Bharti Airtel has launched new roaming plan 21 for the prepaid users in Delhi circle. Newly launched roaming pack will enable users to accept incoming calls at free of cost across five circles.
While Government is planning to make ‘roaming policy’ totally free across India, some telecom operators like Aircel, Airtel are trying to gain more customers by launching roaming schemes for their users in various circle.
Bharti Airtel roaming plan for delhi priced Rs 21 will allow its prepaid customers to receive incoming call with out any charge for a duration of 30 days while they visit five circles including Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand and West Bengal (except Kolkata).
At present Delhi Airtel users have to pay Re 1 for incoming calls, Re.1 for local outgoing calls and 1.5p for STD calls in roaming circles.
Telecom Ministry of India is expected to launch free roaming scheme to abolish roaming charge across India by October 2013 and after that no users have to pay any charge for incoming calls on roaming area.
Recently Aircel has launched ‘One Nation One Rate‘ roaming plan in various circles including Delhi which offers following benefits:
♦ Voice– Local/National calling at 1 paisa/second in Home circle as well as on roaming on Aircel network. Incoming calls while on Roaming on Aircel network will be free
♦ SMS – Local and National SMS at Re 1/SMS in Home circle as well as while on Roaming
