Bharti Airtel to launch 4G LTE service across Delhi and Mumbai soon and company is expected to deal with Chines company Huawei to roll out BWA service across the India’s top data hungry areas.
Airtel has 4G license for 4 circles including Kolkata, Pune, Banglore and Punjab. In May 2012, Airtel had acquired 49% stack in Qualcomm’s broadband wireless access business that enable company to expand BWA service in 4 more circles including Mumbai, Delhi, Haryana and Kerala.
Leading smartphone and telecom device manufacturer Huawei, which has already served equipments to implement the 4G network in Bangalore is also expecting to offers same for this two circles.
Another BWA license owner Airtcel is expected to launch its 4G LTE service by April 2013, though Aircel has not reported any exact details.
Pan India BWA license owner Mukesh Ambani’s Infotel may launch the service across Delhi and Mumbai by end of 2013. Infotel has announced to offer 4G smartphone at just Rs 5500 with budget friendly and exciting plans.
New entry in 4G family, Videocon to offer 4G service using its 1800MHz band across Gujrat by December 2013.
