Government’s dream project Aakash tablet manufacturer Datawind introduced new EDGE supported tablet UbiSlate 7C+EDGE at a reasonable price of Rs 5999.
Company might not be worried about the final date set by Indian Government for delivering the 100,000 piece of Akash 2 tablet by March 2013 and step forward to launch new UbiSlate 7C+.
New UbiSlate tablet which is actually the Datawind recommendation for Aakash 3 to include a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and 512MB RAM along with 4GB Internal memory which is upgradable up to 32GB via micro-SD card.
Tablet to come with 2G internet facility via EDGE technology the upgrade version of GPRS along with regular high speed WiFi connectivity. Now student can use GSM Sim card to use regular features including Voice calls.
Ubislate 7C+EDGE to come pre-installed with Android v4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system that can be used to run regular apps, games on its 7 inch quality display with resolution of 800×480 pixel, you can play HD video.
Tablet also includes a VGA front camera but it’s not sufficient to capture high quality photos or videos. UbiSlate 7C+EDGE has huge 3200 mAh battery which offers a 3Hrs of power back up.
