Infotel, Samsung to launch 4G smartphone at Rs 5500 with data and voice offers

Infotel, only operator having PAN India BWA license has patterned with Samsung mobile to offer 4G smartphone as low as just INR 5,500. Mukhesh Ambani is going to launch LTE service very soon.

Samsung decided to produce cheap and entry level 4g smartphone, which will be further used by Infotel to offer high speed internet and Voice service through 4G network across India.

4G Mobile will be available with affordable data package, starting price around Rs 100 and monthly installments at minimum down-payment with 0% interest rate is also expected to sold with the smartphone.

Reliance Industry is expected to launch 4G service in Mumbai and Delhi by the end of 2013. Company has not reported any exact date of 4G launch event.

“Samsung will not be just another vendor to RIL supplying handsets as it was when Reliance Infocomm was launched in 2002. They are seeking a much broader role. A possible joint venture could also be in the offering.” reported in TOI

Airtel is the only operator, currently offering 4G (LTE) service in India across Kolkata, Pune and Bengaluru. Airtel has also announced to lunch 4G service next in Chandigarh by March 2013.

4G smartphone is not widely available yet In India and 4G data cards are only available way to access high speed 4g internet, though only few vendors are supplying 4g data cards too.

No info reported about how much the maximum speed can deliver the mobile and the operating system to be used in 4G smartphone. 4G Wireless network regular speed may produce download sped up to 100mbps.

We expect speed-based and time-based tariff from Infotel which will be most affordable to regular wireless internet users as 3G service across India remains unsuccessful due to “Full speed at huge price” policy.
