BSNL finally launches roaming plans 91 for prepaid users across India. NO roaming pack was available since the launch of free roaming offer from BSNL which forces users to make outgoing calls & SMS at costly roaming rate while traveling in roaming states.
From June 15, 2015, BSNL has withdrawn all existing roaming packs, STVs and plans. As a result BSNL customers, both prepaid and postpaid users have to pay heavy roaming rate for both outgoing calls and SMS to Local and STD numbers.
BSNL free roaming offer only allows free incoming voice call facility while in national roaming and, Subscribers need to pay charge 80p/minute for outgoing local calls and Rs 1.15/minute for STD calls; regardless subscribers current base plans (per minute plan or per second plan).
BSNL new Roaming Pack 91 for Prepaid users would be a minimal recovery from making costly outgoing calls and SMSs at roaming areas.
BSNL Roaming plans priced Rs 91 comes with limited number of free outgoing calls and outgoing SMS. New roaming pack may cost +/-2 in different circles but benefits are same across circles.
BSNL Roaming STV 91 offers 120 free minutes for outgoing calls to any numbers while in roaming circles and 40 free SMS for both Locals and STD numbers of any network. Post freebie usage, Customers will be charged as per base plan for both Calls and SMSs. Validity of new Roaming offer pack is 30 days.
New roaming plan 91 will be available from 3rd August, 2015. There is no rate cutter for roaming from BSNL till now and, It’s expected to be rolled out shortly.
