Stop buying JioFi if you are planning to purchase Jio MiFi for 4g Preview Offer. Jio is slowly terminating Preview Offer for Jiofi and migrating to ‘Welcome Offer’. in spite of having validity, JioFi subscribers will no longer be able to get access to unlimited 4g data for now.
Reliance has tendency of terminating service middle of its validity. This is not new, Rcom is doing such things for long and subject comes public once Rcom start migrating 2G subscribers to Roaming partner, shutting down of CDMA service and migrating CDMA to 4g service.
Jio is seemed not far more behind from Rcom – After terminating Preview Offer at the middle of it validity for LYF mobile users, Jio start cancelling ‘Preview Offer’ for JioFi users.
Both new & existing JioFi subscribers will be migrated to ‘Welcome offer’ from ‘Preview Offer’ no matter what validity Jiofi sim is carrying – No unlimited data from now – Only 4GB/day.
This is a big blow to users who spend Rs 2899 for Jiofi and Rs 5000 for LYF mobile – Jio Sim is now available for all 4g mobile.
Jio is termination Preview Offer for all existing devices in phased manner – Company is definitely planning something new to generate more revenue from new customers, without investing more on data offering !
Jio 4G Preview Offer
- Unlimited Voice calls
- Unlimited SMS
- Unlimited 4G data
- Validity: 90 days
Jio 4G Welcome Offer
- Unlimited Voice calls (Free Voice call drop)
- 4GB data/day (Speed CAP & Abnormal data renewal)
- Validity: Till Dec 31st
JioFi is definitely a good choice for Jio users since it offers both data and, voice service through Jio4GVoce app but issues such as excessive overheating, low WiFi range, lack of advanced settings and below average battery backup can not be avoided just for 90 days Preview Offer (Now terminated !).
Jio not only fails to manage existing users but also send negative attitude to existing users mainly the customers who showed interest on Jio by purchasing LYF mobile or JioFi 4g module.
Jio invested a lot to build telecom business but deceiving people at start will definitely send a negative feedback to all customers who are planning to MNP to Jio.
Terminating of 4G services at middle of the validity, Jio is clearly trying to express that company has full right to terminate service anytime no matter how much users spent to have that one !
This is another signal to new subscribers that please think 10 times before buying something from Jio. With just 5 million+ users-base Jio failed to manage and deliver standard services to subscribers.
