Vodafone launches 4G service in West Bengal telecom circle. Company announces 4g plan offering 20GB of 4g data at Rs 955 for prepaid users across the circle. Vodafone 4G service is now live on Band 3 (1800Mhz) in WB circle. Now Vodafone subscribers can enjoy high-speed internet over 4G network without switching operators.
Incumbents are having tough competition with Jio. Vodafone failed to roll out 4g service in time across the circles. Company already stated that 4G service is useless for Indian subscribers, few months ago. Jio rapid growth made Vodafone to think twice the matter more carefully.
Vodafone started 4G service on Band 3 (1800Mhz) under Vodafone 4G SuperNet initiative – This band offers wide coverage with moderate speed but Vodafone has already optimized network for serving 100mbps+ 4G speed but users may face much lower speed compared to test speed in real-time due to load on network.
Vodafone 4G is live in Kolkata for last couple of months. Jio forces telecom companies to concentrate more on 4G service and, roll out of Vodafone 4g service across West Bengal circle is just an example.
After having tough competition from Jio thanks to ‘Welcome Offer’, Vodafone is going to launch affordable 4G offer to its data users. Vodafone to launch 4g pack with 20GB of data worth Rs 955. More plans & offers will come shortly.
West Bengal Vodafone users can instantly upgrade 4G sim using Adhar based e-KYC service. This service will take few minutes to activate 4G service in new sim – Subscribers can continue 2g/3g/4g without having any service disruption.
Vodafone is not going to offer HD Voice calls over 4G network using VoLTE service in near future. Subscribers can continue Voice calls on 3G network and data on 4G network. After Gujarat, Haryana & UP East, West Bengal becomes 4th circles where company launched 4G service in 2nd phase.
