Jio failed to maintain ‘Quality of Service’ resulting slow 4g speed, massive call drop and, issues in Jio4GVoice app. Jio is smartly avoiding matter by blaming incumbents where company is still testing network in the name of ‘Welcome Offer’.
‘Welcome Offer’ brought big-smile in customers’ face who were being cheated by leading operators in the name of ‘Unlimited’ for long time but, Jio failed to maintain QoS as soon as user-base increases.
‘Pied Piper of Hamelin’ story is being repeated here – Jio is offering ‘Welcome Offer’ which gives unlimited Voice, SMS & 4G data and people are, as usually happy with service & running towards ‘Jio Store’ for getting ‘Most anticipated Sim card’.
But real story start afterwards,
Jio somehow managed to fasten Sim Activation delay thanks to eKYC but massive delay is still being reported.
As soon as Jio userbase increases, Jio 4g speed decreases gradually.
Jio with such a little entry-level userbase failed to maintain speed and claiming to become leading telecom operator in India !
Jio with such huge investment in telecom business either intentionally throttling 4g speed or own backdated QoS team with no experience in Network Optimization.
Some users reported they are not even able to use 1/4 of Jio daily 4g data limit thanks to ‘Stone age 4g speed’ !
Some users also reported to have great speed in regular basis even after Setp 5.
This is happening because Jio rolled out Mobile Tower (4g signal) everywhere but network is still not up-to-date to maintain current userbase. Company is optimizing only the networks where userbase & demand is much higher.
A number of blame-game being played by telecom operators – Customers are suffering ultimately – None can now leave his/her primary number switched off thanks to ‘Jio Call Drop’.
Customers need to make multiple attempt to make a call to Airtel, Vodafone or Idea or even Aircel. Things even become out of control in Peak hours.
Jio officially announced that they have capacity to deliver HD calls but incumbents are not releasing sufficient number of POI. On the other hand, Incumbents are blaming that Jio is choking their network even after releasing enough POI.
Basically, Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea has no intention to ‘entertain’ Customers by maintaining QoS recommended by TRAI.
Customers are suffering ultimately.
To make Calls & Send SMS on Non-VoLTE 4g mobile, customers need to install Jio4GVoice app, formally JioJoin. This app was tested on JioFi for making VoLTE calls on any Android mobile regardless it’s 3G or 4G or VoLTE 4g but reality is different !
Jio introduces app with name ‘JioJoin’ later renamed it to ‘Jio4Gvoice’ but failed to discard issues the app was carrying.
Customers with Jio 4g Sim in Non-VoLTE mobile are facing issue while try to make call using Jio4Gvoice app. Users need to re-install app for multiple times to make it work with Sim.
Every new customer entering Jio 4G network need to contact customers care, thanks to slow 4g speed & Call drop.
Jio support now become more arrogant towards customers issues – Attitude of Jio support is like ‘Free me itna hi milega !’
Jio somehow forgot that all these customers need to pay monthly charge for 4g plans to continue service after January 1st, 2017.
If these continues and, Incumbents bring some customer-oriented services then, Jio should prepare itself to see a huge drop in Userbase after Dec 31st, 2016.
SMS is now dead. Jio pathetic 4g speed & massive Call drop made Jio almost useless network, Only SMS is working in full swing.
Every new customer entering Jio network should prepare themselves to hear :
- Jio is in test phase -> Result : Slow 4G Speed
- Incumbents are not releasing enough POI -> Result : Voice Call Drop
- Jio4GVoice App in beta mode -> Result : Issue in connections
Be ready to use Jio sim for SMS only purpose, thanks to Incumbents for not blocking at least SMS coming from Jio !
Jio is obviously a better choice as long as freebies are concerned but taking after-sale services, here, pathetic experiences in Jio 4G speed & Voice calls drop, persons who need to make huge calls in daily basis & use internet for streaming contents should avoid Jio for now, at least till January 1st, 2017 or use Jio sim as secondary backup number.
New subscribers are strongly recommend to check Jio network in local area, Jio 4g speed and Call connecting issues before taking new connection from Jio.
