GSM India Subscribers crossed 679.05 million in July 2012

Cellular Operators Association of India(COAI) reported total number of GSM Subscribers as of July 2012 is 679.05 million,where total number of addition in July 2012 is 1.70 million with 0.25% increase from previous month.

According to report Airtel leads with 1.50 million new subscribers added in July.

Amongst all the circles A Circle is the fastest growing circle, it has grown at a rate of 0.27% and forms 37.63% of the total additions during July 2012.

Telecom giant Airtel with 27.80% market share,added 1.50 million new subscribers in July that makes subtotal 188.80 million subscribers.

Vodafone with 22.81 per cent market share,added 1.20 million subs, increased its subscriber base to 154.91 million.

Idea with market share 17.32 per cent,managed to add 0.45 million new subscribers that make them total 117.62 million.

Uninor and Videocon both operators lost their valuable subscribers due to license cancellation by Supreme Court, Uninor lost 44.49 million total subscriber and Videocon lost 0.41.

BSNL has no change,total subscriber base 94.68.MTNL lost .0901 million,taking total subscriber base to 5.23 million.

Etisalat DB, STel and Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL) are going to take part in upcoming spectrum auction.
