Vodafone has started 19 fully operational helpline center for Uttarakhand flood victims in severely affected areas where Vodafone has distributors and service points so that affected people can reach out to their near and dear ones & open channels of communication with the outside world.
Talktime of Rs 1000 credited to helpline numbers yesterday and Chhota credit of Rs 10 given to 40,000 eligible customers of Vodafone India. The service is also being made available to about 80,000 Vodafone roaming customers.
2 helpline centers have also been set-up at the Jolly Grant and Sahasdhara Helipads to offer free phone service to the affected people.
