How to Stop Airtel Value Added Services (VAS)- New process

To deactivate Airtel value added services (VAS) all you need to follow some simple steps. To make free from unwanted account balance deduction issue, Airtel has added another simple process to quickly stop any pre-activated VAS pack on user mobile number.

This step not only gives relief to subscribed VAS users but also the people who lost their balances due to accidentally activation of VAS pack.

Now manage your all value added services and Stop them from our airtel number in time to get rid of unwanted balance cut.

Follow the process to deactivate vas pack

Via SMS : Send SMS: STOP to 155223

Via IVR: Directly call 155223 and follow the IVR to deactivate the pack.

Note: 155223 is toll-free as long as you call  from Airtel number.

2nd method:

1. Dial *121#
2. Now select option 6:  ‘Other Services'
2 Select  1 in net step which says: ‘Start/Stop a Service'
3. Now, choose 2nd option : ‘Stop a Service'
4. You will get a list of services currently activate on your Airtel sim

You can deactivate currently activated services one by one by following above step.

      I WAS IN A OFFICE MEETING WHEN I RECEIVED THIS SMS.
      PURE FRAUD.

  7. It is highly shameful on the part of Airtel to activate any services without the permission of the subscribers. Innocent buyers, especially pre-paid users,, even literates, are suffering due to this. If this practice is not stopped and Airtel coming with open apology, complaint will be lodged with TRAI.

  11. VAS is auto activated for Airtel Post paid as well. My current bill is showing Rs 303 VAS charges. 121 call center is saying they can revoke only RS 150. Rest I need to pay.. Please suggest how I can I resolve this. STOP to 155223 is not working at all. This is very bad business policy to generate false bill. Shameless act by Airtel.   23. I had also faced the same issue and I moved to consumer court. Finally the decision was made in my favor and I got 25,000 INR as the compensation amount in total from airtel.

It’s very shameful to AIrtel to loot money from its customers in the form of activating Value Added servces without their customer permission, it’s really disgusting, this is a clear sign of company’s bankruptcy very soon which is unable to compete with its rivals like(JIO,IDEA etc..)Airtel hunting their customers to loot money whenever we recharge they deduct money as BOJPURI Video Service & other craps,Despite deactivating the service by calling its chutya customer care which was never enabled by us, still it remains enabled only we get SMS as deactivated but same remains enabled.   33. This is very unfortunate that mobile service like airtel is doing just the other operator doing in past . I hv 15 years with airtel not a single day any problem . and my self proud that i hv airtel who dont deduct unnecessary any amt from my balance, but last one week my self observed that various VAS deduct my balance
    @35/ or more my self already loss rs 100/-+ . it is not possible time to time ck mobile and deactivate /call for deactivate /or go to store . the aged person in home dont do this , now i stop recharge i have also three airtel connection all stop recharge .
    if AIRTEL NOT STOP CHETING . MAY GO TO TRAI AND CONSUMER FORUM FOR FURTHER ACTION

  34. Airtel earning black money through some service activated without customers permission. eg. Yesterday evening I received a massage that activated game zine services and deducted Rs.5/- per day. Assume that theses people did this to 1 lack customers then what was their illegal earning? Rs. 500000/- . So customer please start fighting against this illegal services.

  36. I have also been a victim of unnecessary VAS in my sim. Airtel has activated VAS 2 times in my number. Although I have deactivated instantly but the company has not refunded the deducted amount.

      I DISABLED any possible service. They said even if I by mistake click something it won’t get activated.

      Again some service automatically activated.
      Again same lie that I only activated.

  42. Airtel value added service is getting renewed automatically even after deactivation and cutting my balance as and when reacharged.
    Kindly stop it permanantly
